Who knew I'd buy our home in Tubac, AZ while shopping in a drug store on New Years Day, 2002. As an attorney and now a realtor, I know that I want as much information as possible in order to make a reasoned decision. That's what I demand for myself and that is what I give to my clients. However, in the case of my dream house I made the decision to buy it on the spot! Only after I had said yes to the offer of her home from my friend who was a realtor, did I think about calling my husband to tell him we were moving from Northern Virginia to Tubac, AZ. Prior to making my 'on the spot' decision, I had visited Southern Arizona, and Tubac in particular, for years. I fell more and more in love with this area each year and learned of all this beautiful and historic area has to offer. In 1998, I bought my first property in Tubac and began coming a bit more often each year. Since moving to Tubac in 2002, my husband and I enjoy the good life every day and have had not one scintilla of regret about my 'quick' decision. Throughout my careers, I have learned to assimilate a great deal of information from many sources which I then use as a basis for making decisions and giving advice. Prior to moving to Tubac and beginning my real estate career, I was a litigation/family law attorney in Fairfax, Virginia. Before attending law school, I had also been a school teacher, veterinary nurse, police dispatcher and volunteer fire fighter/EMT. My past career choices have given me a unique ability to understand and meet the needs of my clients; both sellers and buyers. I am able to communicate clearly with my clients, act quickly and offer each client a high attention to detail which serves them well. Work is important to me, but so is volunteering. I love my volunteer job as Coordinator of, and team member with, the Pets for Vets Therapy Dog Program at the Southern Arizona Veterans Hospital in Tucson. Also, I am currently the President of the Tubac Chamber of Commerce, past President of the Tubac Historical Zone Advisory Board, past President of the Tubac Health Care Foundation, and past Vice-president of the Santa Cruz County Multiple Listing Service. Additionally, I sing in 2 choirs at the Desert Hills Lutheran Church in Green Valley and do find time to fit in a little golf, bridge and Mah Jongg.
